Hey babes! Long time no talk!! Life has been crazy and I promise just give me a little bit to my life together LOL! I have really been learning how to study right, but it isn’t always fun so I have discovered a few techniques to help make studying less painful!
- KEEP MOVING EVERY 2 HOURS
I don’t have ADHD what so ever, but you still get antsy if you are sitting in one place for too long! I have discovered my four places to study that work best for me! My room, Outside patio, Starbucks, and Panera! All four of these places are my go-to’s! First I usually start by prepping everything in my room and after 30-1 hr I go outside! I stay outside for about 2 hours then I go get lunch typically at Panera and after 2 hours there I finish off with 2-3hrs at Starbucks with a Vente White Chocolate Mocha!!
2. Get a STUDY not “study” buddy
I personally study best alone and there is nothing wrong with that or with needing company! When others are around I find myself more susceptive to procrastination! If you are finding a study buddy then look for these 3 things…Productivity, Calmness, and Supportive! You may not find someone with all those characteristics, but at least find someone with one or more! Also if you are in college find someone with your same major!
3. Treat yo’ self
Every time you finish a never ending math problem or have been writing an essay on the philosophy of educational rights( yes thats my topic for the semester…pray for me) then take a small break and treat yourself! For example, when I am at Starbucks I get a bag of their popcorn because its SOOO GOOD! Anyways I treat myself to some whenever I finish sections! Its all about the right reward!
4. Get 6-8 hours of sleep
Now when it comes to college this might be an issue if you are out all night, but this doesn’t count towards that! If you have been studying all day and you have a test the next day or the next you need to make sure your brain is getting enough rest or else all the studying you did and little sleep you got might actually make you do worse then if you had slept!
Hopefully this helped some of y’all out! Lots of love!!
