First: I start off my separating the hair right above the ear because I find this makes it easier whether you have long or short hair! I then split the hair into two sections, and grab a 2 inch section and curl! If you have thin hair then grab a 1 inch, but I have pretty thick hair so I find it waves best in 2 inch sections!Once I wrap my hair around my wand I hold it there for 5 seconds…yes 5 seconds is enough time on my hair since I have a natural wave already, but don’t let that discourage you! If you need to hold it longer then just play with a few pieces until you find the right length of time! The biggest mistake I see people doing when they curl their hair is that they do the same curl on the bottom section as they do on the top! For a wave look you want to make sure the curl is more of a wave and not tight against your head, if you give it more of a loose wave then it will give the illusion that your hair is longer and thicker! After I curl the bottom section I always brush the curls out with my fingers NOT a brush! Then I start the top section where I wrap my hair around 3 times like the bottom section, but I hold my hair on their for 10 seconds so that it will have more of a defined wave!I know some people will curl their hair going in opposite directions, but I like the look of it all going one way for waves! Also I never wrap all the hair around the wand, I leave out just a little bit of the end because it will give a more “natural” look LOLOnce I curl all of my hair and before I brush out the top with my fingers I get about 3 or 4 small sections of my hair and do tight curls close to the root!Curling close to the root will give tons of volume, which I know is something a lot of people struggle to find without using a ton of hair spray! After I do that I lightly brush over my curls and I am all done and it takes me about 10 minutes! I rarely use hair spray unless i’m going to a special occasion because my hair will hold the curl for hours, but if you find that your curls fall then use Big Sexy Hair Hairspray, it will hold your hair in place without giving a gross feeling!

Curling Wand: Ulta (UNDER $30)
I hope you all enjoyed, this was a very highly requested post and if y’all would like be to do other hair tutorials then just let me know! A big tip of curling your hair is that you don’t have to spend $200 on a wand or curling iron! Its all about technique and I just bought this wand 2 weeks ago and i’m sure none of y’all could see a difference in how I curl my hair since it has nothing to do with the wand! I just picked this one because it was pretty haha! Anyways I hope this helped and I will talk to y’all soon! Lots of love!
